News from Norwich Pride:Our Carnival workshops with Pat Howe start this week at St Gregory’s
Centre for the Arts (between Pottergate and St Benedicts) on Wednesday
26th May, 6.30pm-8.30pm. We’re going to create some beautiful rainbow
costumes and props for the Fridi Gras Parade on Friday 9th July. We’re
thinking of a courtly theme – rainbow kings, queens, princes,
princesses, jesters etc but are open to all ideas. Workshops are Free

2.00 Caroline Parker – Signed song/dance performance (BSL)
2.30 Molly Barrett – Singing/instrumental performance.

5.00 End of outside performances

Single performers and SYHO will be performing on level surface area just outside the main entrance.
Group performances and sports events will happen in the Amphitheatre
BSL – Will be provided where applicable.

Norwich Pride Choir

There will be a taster choir session on Thursday 27th. May at 7p.m.at St.Margaret’s church in St.Benedict’s St. Norwich.

Following that there will be 3 or 4 evening rehearsals in July to sing at Pride. Hopefully this will lead onto a regular choir after

The Miller Dance Centre on Ropemakers Row are having one of their very
popular Socials on Friday 14th May. The evening includes a “no fear”
Ballroom and Latin American dance class, followed by a fun social
dance. You don’t need to be able to dance, and you don’t need a
partner – just turn up and enjoy yourself! Bring your own drinks –

Doors open at 7pm for a Knit-In to help make our giant rainbow scarf for Norwich Pride on 31st July + we’ve got a selection of photographers on hand taking pics for our competition:

Yes, we’re looking for real people, proud to wave the rainbow flag and be part of our poster campaign for Norwich Pride. If you’d like to take part – just turn up. Merchandise Matt will be manning the Pride Stall so there’ll be no shortage of rainbow props for you to buy and model.

We’ll also have a stall with Jojo, our Community Team leader, with everything you need to know about LGBT life in Norwich.
