Here’s a message from Norwich Pride, Norfolk:
Hi everyone, it’s Shell from the Pride Collective. Next week is another exciting week in the countdown to Norwich Pride.
On Wednesday 10th June, BBC Voices in the Forum are running a FREE workshop for us: “Movie-making for Pride.” It’s from 10am-3pm. It’s for complete beginners and you will learn how to film and edit. The aim is for us to build a Crew of people who can make a movie about the historic first Norwich Pride on 25th July 2009. If you’re interested email me at shell@shellytelly.co.uk. Places are limited and you must book one in advance with me.
Also on Wednesday 10th June, we’ve got the first of our Parade Preparation Workshops at the Catherine Wheel between 7.30-9.30pm. Bring your enthusiasm, ideas and materials and we’ll start creating banners, balloons, tshirts and costumes to make the first Pride Parade as colourful and fun as possible. There will be more Parade Preparation workshops on Wednesdays 24th June, 8th July and 22nd July.
Finally, don’t forget we’ve got “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” at Cinema City on Friday 12th June at 8.10pm. It’s a fantastic film and we’ve got a brilliant intro from Ash Crawford so it promises to be another great night “Out at the Movies”
all the best
shell xx
