OUT AT THE MOVIES
The “Hedwig” screening on Friday was a big success. 55 people came to Cinema City and heard a very entertaining talk from Ash – thanks Ash.
We’ve now set up a Facebook Group for “Out at the Movies Norwich” where you can find all the latest news, tell us what films you’d like to see and be the first to enter competitions to win free tickets to screenings. The link is:

FUSION FILM AT THE FORUM
Talking of films, we’ve got the new “Fusion” Screen at the Forum booked for the week after Pride (with a Premiere on the 25th July) to screen a movie we’re making locally for the “Norwich Pride OurStory” History Project. We’re looking for 6 people to tell us their Coming Out stories – one from each of the decades: 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s – and each story will be made into a 3 minute film with archive photos etc. If you’re interested in getting involved email our filmmaker shell@shellytelly.co.uk or our Pride Historian Kieran at norwichlgbthistory@hotmail.co.uk
BERNICE’S PRIDE FLOAT AT LORD MAYOR’S PROCESSION
We’ll be making history on Saturday 25th July with the first Norwich Pride and we want to “turn Norwich into a Rainbow” and have an exciting and colourful Parade. Bernice at the Catherine Wheel is organising the Norwich Pride Float for the Lord Mayor’s Procession on Saturday 11th July and it’s going to be fantastic. We’ll use all the props and costumes for the Pride Parade on the 25th. Bernice has got a meeting this Thursday (18th June) at 7.30pm at the Wheel for anyone interested in knowing more. We’re looking for loads of people to wear bright tshirts and costumes to follow the float and form a human rainbow so please come along and get involved.
SINGING WITH PRIDE
We’ve booked a Singing Workshop with international artist Anthar on Monday 29th June – venue to be confirmed. If you’re interested in Singing with Pride and perhaps forming a Norwich Pride Choir, then email shell@shellytelly.co.uk
HELEN’S PHOTOSHOOT
Local artist Helen Simpson is looking for more LGBT families to have their photos taken for her exhibition at Franks Bar during Norwich Pride. CARRIE’S COMEDY WORKSHOPS
We’re now taking bookings for the Pride Comedy Workshops at the Horse and Dray on Ber St on Saturday 18th July. Learn how to do stand-up comedy with Carrie Anne Guthrie and Kirsty Hudson. It’s from 10-4pm and it costs £10 with a light lunch. In the evening we’ve got the “Pride Comedy Night” at the Dray where our comedy students can test out their new skills with some professional acts to support them. It’s going to be a good laugh
