Sing with Pride. the friendly, welcoming and inclusive choir from the LGBT community needs you – that includes LGBT people, their friends, families and supporters – to join us.
If you are already one of the regular choir members then please pass this invitation on to your friends. Better still, bring them along to one of our rehearsals.
Mary Lovett, our Musical Director, teaches all songs by ear and rehearsals during October take place at the meeting room of St Andrews United Reform Church on Princes Street in Norwich from 7-9pm on the following dates:
Thursday 6th October (we have a break on 13th October)
Thursday 20th October
Thursday 27th October
On Friday 28th October the choir will be singing at the ‘No to Hate Crime’ vigil at the Forum in Norwich but there is absolutely no pressure to take part in the performance if you don’t feel happy about doing so.
Other exciting things we have planned for the new year include:
setting some of the Out140 coming out stories to music
singing at the launch of LGBT History Month on 31st January
working on a project about the music of Labi Siffre
and of course singing at Norwich Pride 2012
Cost per session is £6 full or £4 concession but if you pay in advance for a 6-week block of rehearsals the per session works out at £5 full / £3 concession. There is also a one-off membership fee of £10 full / £7 concession.
