A LOVE TO HIDE is a stirring drama that takes place in Nazi-occupied Paris in 1942. The story revolves around a gay male couple who must keep their love a secret for fear of persecution. Their lives are further complicated by the appearance of a young Jewish woman seeking refuge and the return of one of the men’s brothers from prison. The resulting tale is one of love, trust, fear, and betrayal.
Introduced by Mike Stonard, Future Radio presenter, community activist and member of Pride, and Jan Ainsley, member of the Norwich and Norfolk Holocaust Memorial Trust planning group. There will also be a short performance from the Norwich Pride Choir, with the main feature starting at approximately 8.45pm.

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY (HMD) is commemorated internationally on 27th January each year. This date was chosen as it is the anniversary of the day in 1945 on which the Soviet Army liberated the largest Nazi concentration camp – Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Each year, the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust urges everyone in the UK to pause and reflect on what can happen when racism, prejudice and exclusionary behaviour are left unchecked. On HMD we take the time to see how the lessons of the past can play a part in our communities today. The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2011 is Untold Stories.
