Fun Fun Fun at FUSION in the Forum!
The 140 CHARACTERS show on the giant FUSION screen in the Forum is going wonderfully. Thank-you to all the storytellers and their friends who came to the Launch Party and everyone who has visited this week. The show is changing every day with new films and a live feed on Twitter so there’s still plenty of time to get involved.
We are loving taking over FUSION as an LGBT-friendly place and we’re meeting loads of lovely people telling us great stories about friends and family who are LGBT – some recent stories are listed below.
140 CHARACTERS is on every day except Sunday until Saturday 23rd January. Members of the Pride Collective are there every weekday between 10-2pm so come down and see us and hear all the latest gossip.
We want to make our final week in FUSION as special as possible so we’ve arranged entertainment on every day:
MONDAY 18, 10-2pm: Storytelling
We’ve got a range of LGBT + Diversity-friendly children’s books that you can read/have a lovely librarian read to you and your kids.
TUESDAY 19, 1pm: Poetry with Vince Laws
The Norwich Pride Poet Laureate will perform his latest poems, including one inspired by the 140 CHARACTERS show.
WEDNESDAY 20, 1pm: Music with Maddi
Multi-talented Maddi Cassell will perform a range of songs on a range of instruments! Is she the only musician in the world to write 12 SECONDS songs?
THURSDAY 21, 10-2pm: Micro-moviemaking with the Action Crew
Shelly Telly has invited her Action Crew to show you how to make movies lasting just 12 SECONDS. Come and make a micro-masterpiece on a gorgeous gadget.
FRIDAY 22, 10-2pm: 140 CHOCOLATES
Yes we’ve got free chocolate for everyone who visits the show today. We know Ivan (84) and Betty (68) will definitely be there to grab their chocolates cos they told us come to FUSION every Friday, whatever the show. Will you be there to join two of the sweetest pensioners in Norwich?
SATURDAY 23, 1pm: LGBT History Month Leaflet Launch
The last day for 140 CHARACTERS and you can be the first to grab hold of the LGBT History Month leaflet. A Steering Group of local councils and community groups have put together an amazing programme of events. There will be something EVERY day in February including a Children’s Party, Clare Summerskill Comedy, Lectures at UEA, Workshops around the City including “Release Your Inner Drag Queen”, “Stand-Up Comedy” and “Tackling Homophobia in Schools.” There’s also Living Library, Parties, Church Service, VICTIM at Cinema City, Romantic Meals on Valentines Day and loads and loads more…..
