Norwich Pride are working with the Forum, the Writers Centre and Shelly Telly to present a two-week interactive show at FUSION in the Forum from 11th-25th January 2010. The show is called 140 CHARACTERS and we are looking for 140 people (“characters”) to tell us their Coming Out Story in 140 characters or less (a “tweet” on Twitter.) We want Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) people to tell us what it was like to Come Out and we’d love friends and families to tell us their side of the story too.
You can tweet us ur tale at: www.twitter.com/OUT140 or text us: 07786351214 or email: shell@shellytelly.co.uk
You can have a look at some of the tales that have already come in at www.twitter.com/OUT140 If you follow @OUT140 on Twitter you will receive the stories as they arrive.
You can make a film about Coming Out at our free Micro-Moviemaking workshops in Norwich and Cromer. Each workshop lasts 140 minutes and are run by Community Filmmaker Shelly Telly and Poet/Artist Vince Laws. Here are the details:
Thurs 10 Dec, 10.40-1pm, The Cube in the Forum
Thurs 17 Dec, 10.40-1pm, Virginia Court Hotel, Cromer
Email shell@shellytelly.co.uk or call 07786351214 to book your place. If you’d love to do some moviemaking but can’t make the workshops, then let us know. If there’s enough interest we will run an evening workshop too. The workshops are, like Norwich Pride, INCLUSIVE – anyone can come.
