One Billion Rising-Norwich
Shell, organiser of Norwich Rising, has asked us to post her message about it:
Have you heard about One Billion Rising? It’s a global day of action
on 14th February 2013 to inspire 1 billion women, and the people who
love them, to dance to demand an end to violence against all women.
Why 1 billion? Because the UN estimates that one in three women on
earth (1 billion women) will be raped or sexually assaulted in her

Mid Week Walks
A new year and a new venture – on Wednesdays so I hope you can join in !
The ‘cafe women’ are leading some short walks in January with the intention of doing longer ones as time goes on. We ask other women to join in and offer a walk, just email WOW or EASG with the details and it’ll happen. As you’ll see below there’s not only a time and place to meet but also a named person – so just go up to a likely looking woman and ask if she’s that person! We’ve chosen a place to have a drink or lunch at the end of the walk so if you feel like meeting up but not walking then we’ll see you there. If the weather’s atrocious we may all do that ! but we are committed to a woman being there whatever the weather.
Jan.9th. Norwich Cathedral grounds and riverside walk. 1.5m Flat and firm. Read the rest of this entry »

WoW open during Christmas 2012
Women on Women (WoW) will be staying open over this christmas. We’ll be hosting a drop in on the 22nd December to mark mid-winter, and open again on the 29th Dec for a chance to meet up, and enjoy this space for all women who identify as lesbian or bisexual. Drop-ins are from 1.30-3.30 every Saturday, and its a welcoming and friendly space, hosted by volunteers who enjoy meeting people (and making the tea!). Hosts can also advise and find info on other services which may be useful to you. There’s also a library to browse and borrow from, free.
The wow Phone line will be closed on the 26th and 27th Dec.
Please contact us for more details, or to chat about anything you’d like to, in confidence.
Have a safe and peaceful christmas time. Jo and the wow Team.
