Diversity celebrated with Norwich Pride’s banner

A colourful rainbow procession will take to the streets of Norwich at the end of the month, and at the heart of it will be a banner made by more than 110 people.

Norwich Pride returns to the city for the third time on Saturday, July 30 and among the procession will be a banner that has already created a stir in London.

The silky rainbow banner features familiar Norwich landmarks along with over 110 miniature figures that have been created by people from across the city and beyond. Read the rest of this entry »

Rainbow Market latest…

Hi everyone, we’ve got an exciting fundraising and awareness-raising event for Norwich Pride tomorrow – a Rainbow Market at St Gregory’s Centre for the Arts, Pottergate.
We’ll be selling our Pride mugs, rock, scones, rainbow flags, bracelets, umbrellas; as well as prints and postcards of Eloise O’Hare’s beautiful painting of City Hall wrapped in the Pride Scarf. The Art of Norwich is pleased to team up with Norwich Pride to put on an art exhibition entitled “Pride Without Prejudice” that will celebrate the proud diversity of the artists from across our region.This exhibition is open to all artists, and a special welcome is extended to artists from the Norwich Pride community. It will take place at St Margarets – Church of Art, will setup, on Sunday 31st July, and will run for a fortnight until Saturday 13th August.

The Norwich Pride Arts Team are proud to invite you to a workshop in acrylic painting with artist Steph Kedik on Thursday 7th July, 4-6pm at the Tea Lounge on Ber St.

Steph’s exhibition “Gifts from the Garden” is at the Tea Lounge until 31st July and is part of the Pride Arts Trail.

The workshop costs £5 or £3 concs – all materials included.

Pride Portrait Gallery

The Norwich Pride Arts Team are proud to announce that the Pride Portrait Gallery at St Gregory’s Centre for the Arts, Pottergate is now open! You can visit it Wednesday-Saturday, 10-6pm.

The exhibition includes portraits in a range of styles and forms and is growing all the time. Our aim is to capture the talent and diversity of people coming to Pride.
