We would like to to make the following letter about the future of Wow Charity public.

Thank you to all who attended the meeting last Saturday. There was a full and frank discussion, during which it was concluded that we need to wind down the charity. The next stage of this will take place on Thursday 17th July, when the trustees and any members who have already attended committee meetings will vote formally to close the charity.

Although this is a sad decision, large parts of Saturday’s discussion centered on what might arise to fill the gap left by WoW, so there is much to be hopeful about, and many exciting possibilities.

The drop-in will continue as normal until mid August, and we hope to keep the mailing list active for some time.

wow closed for refurbishment

Wow will not be able to host our weekly drop-ins on the 17th or the 24th of May 2014. This is due to the rooms we rent from Norfolk LGBT Project being refurbished.

However, Jill and some of the women from wow will be meeting up at 2pm, The Green House, on Bethel Street Norwich on the 17th may.

And on the 24th may its the now infamous Sing With Pride Choir Jumble Sale!! With its very own Rainbow Cafe, homemade cakes etc. 2pm The Phoenix Centre. Norwich

Wow open all being well again on the 31st May. keep an eye on Facebook too for any other events which may Pop Up.

Phone closed for 2 days

Hi all

and just to post here about an unavoidable phone closure this week-end at wow. We will not be able to have the phone line available for 2 days this weekend, on friday 7th March, and Saturday 8th March 2014. But the drop in will be open as usual, and a happy International Women’s Day to you all!

WoW Closed 7th September

WoW drop-in and phone will be closed on the 7th September, due to our volunteers’ hols. But, we should be able to keep things covered from now on……and we will be there this week-end with a warm welcome, teas and coffees, and a safe space to relax and meet others. There’s the library too, loads of books which have been donated over the years, free to browse and borrow. If you’d like to come to any of the drop-ins, which are from 1.30-3.30pm, and are not sure where they are, or whether it might be something for you, just write to us, or phone, and we can tell you more. WoW Closed 17th August

WoW’s Drop-in held every week on Saturdays in Norwich will be closed for one week, on the 17th August. The phone line will also be closed. Open again as usual for the following week though, and we have really enjoyed meeting several new people in the last few weeks-so if you haven’t been yet and would like to, just email us at wownorwich@hotmail.com and we’ll give you more details.
